After David Lynch’s 1984 version of Dune failed to woo audiences, Villeneuve believes the second time’s a charm, and lead star Timothee Chalamet agrees. As they have since pretty much the beginning, Marvel’s plans moving forward will include mixing things up between sequels and original projects. The idea that the Black Widow lawsuit might prevent the Russo brothers from returning to the MCU would make the possible collapse of this deal the biggest falling out to occur because of Johansson and Disney’s dispute.
